Use it in your AI assistant¶
This index is also available as a free connector that plugs directly into AI assistants like Claude. Once connected, your assistant can search everything R.C. Sproul taught here and answer in his own words — with a verbatim quote, a note of how many independent sources back each point, and a link to the original. The technical name for this kind of connector is an MCP server (Model Context Protocol); you don't need to understand the term to use it.
Connector address (copy this):
https://sproul-search.zk7smnds24.workers.dev/mcp
It provides one tool, search_sproul — search by meaning (a plain question),
not keywords.
Add it to Claude (Desktop or claude.ai)¶
- Open Settings → Connectors (on claude.ai it's Settings → Connectors; in the desktop app, Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector).
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Name:
Sproul Search— URL: paste the address above. - Save. That's it — start a new chat and ask away (see the sample prompts below).
Add it to another app¶
Many AI tools now accept a "custom" or "remote MCP" connector — paste the same address into wherever it asks for an MCP/connector URL. For apps that only accept a local connector, this one-line bridge makes it local (it needs Node.js installed):
npx mcp-remote https://sproul-search.zk7smnds24.workers.dev/mcp
A prompt to set it up (paste into any capable AI)¶
If you're not sure how to add it in your app, paste this to your AI assistant and let it walk you through it:
I'd like to connect a free remote MCP connector to you (or to my AI app). Its address is
https://sproul-search.zk7smnds24.workers.dev/mcpand it provides a tool calledsearch_sproulthat searches R.C. Sproul's teaching. Please explain, step by step in plain language, how to add this as a custom connector in the app I'm using. Then use it to tell me what R.C. Sproul taught about the holiness of God, with a direct quote and the source link.
Prompts to use once it's connected¶
Using the search_sproul tool, find what R.C. Sproul taught about the assurance of salvation. Give me his position, a direct quote, and the source.
Search Sproul's teaching: did he believe a Christian can lose their salvation? Quote him and link the sources.
What's the difference between a view Sproul held and a view he critiqued on predestination? Use search_sproul and show the sources for each.
Good to know
The connector only ever returns what's already published on this site — short quotes, neutral summaries, source counts, and links. It searches by meaning (your question is matched against the index), and it flags views he explained or critiqued separately from views he held. See Methodology & Rights for how all of this is built and the safeguards behind it.
